Are sexual sins such as pornography, lust, adultery or masturbation particularly bad or just as bad as all other sins against God?

Adultery is the worst of that collection.  Lust is almost as bad.  Looking at pornography isn't good, and masturbation hardly registers on the scale.

  • Apparently, but I would suggest that murder, rape, child marriage, child abuse and paedophilia make the ones you mention pale in to insignificance.

Sexual sins are mortal sins.  The Virgin Mary, who is known as Model of Purity, has told us more people go to hell due to sins of the flesh than for any other reason.

They are not sins against god but rather sins against fundies who want to hate people.

What do you call someone who stands at a window watching a couple having sex in their bedroom? A pervert or a peeping Tom.

But Hollywood has convinced people it’s ‘okay’ to watch couples having sex through the ‘window’ of their television sets.

Do you think the one who made the eye does not see? God knows what you do and why you do it.

Sex is for marriage and marriage is for sex. Anything else is a perversion of what’s right.

    Think I’m a prude?

Think again. I was part of the problem... a stripper for three years and a life long sex addict, up until the moment I changed my mind and decided to not want the temptation anymore.

Now I’m like a kid again - chaste and happy for a decade; as if I never knew what sex was.

Masturbation is never called a sin in the Bible.  And we have sinned in many ways, sexual ways as well.  That's why Jesus came to save us.  Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell.

    .

Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death.

Sex is not a sin when enjoyed within the parameters God designed it for. But the abuses of the privilege of sex that you list are particularly bad insofar as they are never 'victimless crimes'. Other suffer because of indulging in most of those things. Even if you don't masturbate to pornography, you still indulge in lustful fantasies that involve another person, in your mind. And whatever is in the mind has a way of showing up in our actions, as Jesus pointed out. However, all sexual sins CAN be repented of and forgiven. Same with all sins (apart from blasphemy against the Holy Spirit). That is why God provided for Jesus' death and resurrection to be the means of dealing with sin. It is unrepented-of sin that is so against God, that it will remain unforgiven, and therefore must be punished. In that sense, it doesn't matter whether your sins are sexual, or stealing, or lying, or murder - it is not obtaining God's forgiveness that is the problem. Until people see it like that, they will never understand the real nature of sin - and that the wages of sin (all and every sin) is death - Romans 6:23 - "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Raging against God's free pardon for all sin, and refusing to receive that from God is the path to eternal damnation, which is the terminal point for unrepented-of sin.

According to Christians, God has one punishment for all crimes: eternal damnation and torture.

    So, farting in church? Hell.

    Mass Genocide? Hell.

The Bible describes two types of sin, sins unto death, and sins not unto death.

    Read.....

1 John 5:16-17 — If you see a Christian brother or sister sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it. All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.

The Bible is clear that different sins are of different severity

even though they are all alike in ONE way: all sins lead to death.

    Obviously

some sexual sins are worse than others.

    Child rape, for example

is worse than fornication between two consenting adults.
