If I connect my PS3 to my Wi-Fi box, do I need to put in a password to log on the internet? ?

Update:

Using a Ethernet cable.

You would only need to put in a password, if you connect through Wi-Fi. If you directly connect through Ethernet, then you would not need to enter any password.

Well no. The wifi password is only used if you connect to your router ("wifi box") through Wi-Fi. With ethernet, you just plug in the cable on both ends and that's it.
