Why have the Yanks won so many more World Series?

Some will say more money. I know in the 90s then tended to hang onto to their players more. Steinbrenner was smart to pay them.

Because they have had several 'dynasties' over their long history, going 4 wins to 3 losses during the Ruth era 1921-1932 (they never went to the Series before Ruth), 6-1 from 1936-1943, and 10-4 from 1947-1964 and the last one, 4-2 from 1996-2003. Those other periods when they weren't on extended stretches of greatness, they appeared in another 5, going 3-2.

American Series, more like.
The world does not play the game.
