It lost 13 of its American colonies, not the USA.

Because the US was populated by intelligent people who got sick of associating with losers who do nothing but (try) dictate to others while they do nothing.

George Washington was a God-fearing, determined General who would not let up until he won.  Washington carried the humble courage of a giant among men and he brought out the best in others.  He said, "While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion.  To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."  This man knew the Lord Jesus Christ.  So, He that was in George Washington is greater than he that is in this world.

England had been fighting wars with most of Western Europe at the time (Only a slight exaggeration). The country was stretched to the limit. It had signed a non-aggression treaty with France, who broke it, coming to the aid of the Americans.

But as with most wars, supply lines, communication and a lack of political will were major factors.

The British were fighting in Europe at the time and the USA had the help of France and Spain. But the British won the second round in 1812 when the Americans invaded British North America (Canada). The Americans were repelled and had their white house burnt.

Because it’s very difficult to fight a way a long way away in other people’s country. A pity the Americans didn’t learn that lesson before they went wading into Vietnam. And Afghanistan.

The French helped a bit, and the Spanish and the Dutch. GB didn’t have many friends.

yank capitalists refused to pay a reduced tax and conned dumb dumbs to fight and die over false pretences.

america was an insignificant distant swampland and not worth the effort as England was preoccupied with european battles.

america was built on a lie, paleface speak with forked tongue

In part because the war cost too much to continue.

The British were busy fighting the French during the American Revolution. At the same time as the revolution, the British were also fighting the Anglo-French, Anglo-Spanish, Anglo-Dutch, and Anglo-Maratha Wars.
