What would happen if you take a power generator and plug it into a wall outlet?

First off you cut off the main breaker.

Second you plug your power generator into the outside door plug.

What would happen?

the generator would try to feed power into the house.  assuming you have the 'normal' number of devices and appliances, that would be an overload and the safety on the generator would trip and open the circuit.

yes, old timers and rural folk do this during a power outage.  first, they turn off not only the main breaker, but every 220v breaker as well.  then they turn off every circuit except the one they really need .. the refrigerator.

now, the generator will only feed power to one half the 110v circuits in the house and you won't know which half until you try it -- so, if the refrigerator doesn't light up, you use an extension cord to plug the 'fridge into a different outlet [try any one in the kitchen and then the outlets under the sink for the garbage disposal and dishwasher]

note that if your generator isn't big enough to support the starting load of the refrigerator, it will trip the safety and the only thing you'll be able to use is lights.

you MUST keep the generator outside with nearby windows and doors CLOSED and preferably at least 10 feet from the house.  The exhaust is deadly.

You are trolling again.  Have you fixed your weed wacker?  And your lawn mower.  And your chain saw.  And your downspout.
