How much will this cost?

We paved a circular driveway over part of our lawn but miscalculated where the septic tank was. It got crushed the first time we parked an RV on it. We cant directly reach it without removing a big slab of concrete which broke in half while we were pulling on it with ropes so now there's grass and poo all over the yard. Yes we're from Florida.

It will cost what you get quoted.

If you clean up the mess and remove the concrete, dig out the old tank it will cost you a lot less.

Heck you may as well order and get a new one delivered and connect it up yourself.

Or you can pay a contractor $10k because you don't want to get your hands dirty.

You NEED to remove the concrete anyway. If the septic system was damaged parking the RV, the driveway isn't built to proper specs to support the RV. The entire drive needs replaced with the proper base to support the weight of the RV.

Who was pulling on it with ropes and why?

Cost to replace a tank is only a couple of thou, but that is just a swap or moving it type deal. That is also before locals and state crap kicks in, certainly before cleanup like your situation comes into play.  Good luck and better call in professionals now, before the contamination has time to spread even more.

You are not very clear.  It sounds like you had to move your RV to another spot so you could use the new paved circular driveway.  And you parked the RV on top of the septic tank and caved in the lid. You did move the RV, but now it is on the back side of the crushed in septic tank.  OK.  Well, you need to call a septic tank installer and coordinate that with getting you septic tank pump out and cleaned up.  The clean out is necessary to see if the tank walls, etc are damaged. The septic tank installer can remove the big lid and get another one, extra thick and reinforced.  It will take several days because the plant may make the lid to size to fit your tank.   Your septic tank guy can probably find your drain lines, but it they are covered by the paved driveway, you will probably need a new drain field.  Let's hope you have space for that new drain field because your other option is a different type of septic system.  Personally, I would remove the pavement on the drive and have a gravel driveway before I would destroy the septic system you have. You might want to figure out someway to get the RV working because that is the only bathroom you are going to have for a couple of weeks. You can use it, then drive it to a dump station. But you can't use the house sewer.  I guess the rule you learned is know where the septic tank is and put a concrete bird bath on top of it so no body will drive on it.  $5,000 minimum.

YOu're going to need to get a septic tank expert to take a look.  No way to know how much without viewing what's been done and what needs replacing.
