How can I stop maladaptive daydreaming?
I have this addiction of staying in a fantasy world. I’m talking out loud, walking with pace and gesturing. Half of my day is squandered like this and I also have trouble focusing on studying or any other task. I’m mostly at home and have no friends either. So, the people I have to talk to are less in number. But, I also want to embrace silence because I want a calm personality. How can I halt daydreaming and be okay with quietude? Thanks beforehand!!!

There's a lot of talk about maladaptive daydreaming but it's not officially recognized as a disorder. However some people are getting therapy for it. An expert recommends going to a good support group online, such as Wild Minds Network.
