When will housing authority start moving people in?

I am on a waitlist for the housing authority of Thurston county and wanted to know if anyone has heard anything about starting to move people in or what

The average time to get public housing is 8 years.

Most places only have their application process open for 2-4 weeks every 3 to 5 years.

The waitlist is not constant -- if someone needs housing more than you do, they jump the line.

If you are an able-bodied, you need to face that you are unlikely to ever get housing.
