Do you think arm rests are very important when choosing a couch?
If it’s for your first studio apartment and you just want visitor to have somewhere to sit that’s not your bed .

Yeah they’re important but I think the most important thing to do when choosing a couch is know if it’s comfortable long term, you wouldn’t want to buy a couch and then realize that it starts to hurt laying there for more than 2 hours. What if someone wants to sleep over at some point, that would just suck to wake up with back pain.

I do. I've never had a couch without them. It's nice to be able to rest your arm on one, plus couches without sides or armrests just don't look right to me.
