Does saying incurable sound kinder than terminal?
- Dr. MorrisonLv 64 weeks agoFavourite answer
The names imply different things. Terminal implies that the Cancer will lead to imminent death, Incurable means that while it may not go away - it may not be fatal either.

Conditions can be incurable without being terminal.
Without treatment, curable illnesses can become terminal.
Life itself is terminal.
The words have different meanings.

This question has nothing to do with cancer. There are diseases that you can have your whole life that aren't necessarily going to cause your death.

You can live a long time with an incurable disease. Not so long with a terminal one.
