Did GOD abandon us?

He used to use his powers frequently in ways that were obvious to observe such as flooding the world, sodom and gamora, parting the red see, talking through a burning bush. Why has he not preformed anything significant like that in two thousand years? He could smite the sinning cities of today (such as los vegas). Any and all heretics would be forced to believe!

As recently as 1987 God was very intimately involved in bringing down the mighty Soviet Union and freeing all of Eastern Europe, without a single shot being fired, in anger. Pope Saint John Paul II got the ball rolling when he stood before the Polish people and invoked the Holy Spirit. A number of extensive documentaries are available for free, on-line that fully document all the incredible events.

No, he has not abandoned us.  We have largely abandoned him.

He still blesses our lives miraculously.  I have seen miraculous healings in response to prayer.  Nothing subjective about them.

Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ standing beside God in 1820.

Remember what Jesus said to Thomas: "Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed.  Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed."  It is better for us to experience God for ourselves using our spiritual senses and faculties than to have evidence dropped into our laps.

    Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: [2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Christians don't follow Christ, nor read, nor believe in the bible.  Revelation is part of the bible, and that says "DON'T ATTACK IRAQ."  (Perhaps not directly).  But it outlines the punishments that God will dole out if Iraq is attacked (for example, Revelation 15 (7 plagues).  Currently we are dealing with three plagues from China (one has been with us for a while....it is called COVID or coronavirus).  The other two plagues that have already started in China are pig flu (is that the same as swine flu?) and the Black Plague.  https://www.healthline.com/health-news/seriously-d...
