    0.37 ……. 0 < t ≤ 1

    0.70 ……. 1 < t ≤ 2 ………. (0.37 + 0.33) = 0.70

    1.03 ……. 2 < t ≤ 3 ………. (0.70 + 0.33) = 1.03

    1.36 ……. 3 < t ≤ 4 ………. (1.03 + 0.33) = 1.36

    etc

    Using the greatest integer function, the cost function can be written as

    c(t) = 0.37 - 0.33 [[1 - t]]

    The graph of c(t) is discontinuous. It cannot be drawn as a smooth curve without lifting the pencil from the paper.
