Does 4 cups of warm water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar really get bleach out of carpet?

If the bleach has already lifted the colour from the carpet (which it does almost immediately), nothing is going to bring it back short of fabric dye.

Mixing vinegar and bleach also releases chlorine gas which, in large quantities, can kill you.

Use plain water to dilute the bleach. Accept that the colour in the carpet is gone.

Plain water will get bleach out of carpet, but if the bleach has removed the colour from the carpet then nothing except dye will put the colour back in.

Hahahahaha, once you spill bleach on the carpet, that spot is "bleached" for good.
