Is it just me or has the reply option in the comments been removed?
I’m not able to respond to comments on any of my questions or anyone elses for that matter. Is anyone else having this problem?

It seems to be a way of controlling reactions to many stories that effect every American. Looks like a form of censorship to affect the coming election. Free speech, is Free speech not left or right speak. Read the "CONSTITUTION".

They removed comments due to it being an election year. They do it every election year with some excuse surrounding abuse. The reality is the comment sections are mainly conservative and push back on biased media so they remove peoples voices prior to elections.

It is a glitch, they will fix it in a few days like all glitches on here.
Commenting on answers has been removed because people have been abusing the comment section. For how long we don't know. It could be temporary, or it could be permanent.

The appropriate way to find out if it's "just you" is to review the questions in the YA subcategory before you post. Scrolling back through questions for just a few days would show you this question has been asked MANY times already, in the week and a half since the Comment feature was deactivated.Source(s): Per Yahoo: "In order to strengthen and improve community and engagement, we are temporarily disabling comments. Our goal is always to create a safe, engaging place to connect over interests and passions and we’d love your feedback on how to improve this experience. Please email us your feedback at firstname.lastname@example.org" . My guess is enough people complained about how badly it was being abused, so it was removed. Too many used it to attack other users or to respond to questions posted by users who had them blocked

For the upteenth time, the comments were disabled across the entire Yahoo platform, including commenting on YA answers. This was for security and safety reasons. Also, there are legal liability reasons for Verizon because of increasing spamming, violent threats, and attempts to breach security around a presidential election. They did the same thing in 2012 and 2016.
Its not just you It's for Everyone

Have you been living under a rock for the past 2 weeks or so? The comment section was removed then and loads of questions have been asked about it since. Reason why it was removed, was probably due to people having arguements in the comments. Thank the trolls for this
It has been temporarily removed for some unknown reason.

It has been removed just like the comment feature on articles has been removed. It has been that way for over a week now.
