One the KLM website it states
You can take a small cat or dog with you into the Economy Class cabin of most KLM flights, and in Business Class on most KLM flights within Europe. ... It is not allowed to take your pet out of the travel bag or kennel during the flight.
British Airways does not allow dogs or other pets to travel in the cabin. However, registered assistance animals, such as guide dogs, are allowed to accompany disabled flyers.

though many people have a kind of affinity to animals ,I think that being with animals together often will make us depend on others when you do some things in the future ,

As long as the dog is small enough to fit and turn around in a soft sided carrier (small to medium size - about 15-20 lbs max) AND you buy a plane ticket for the pet (about $125-150 one way), you can have the pet on board. You will need health records including rabies shot and have to pay for the animal to fly when you check in at the counter. Dog will have to be taken out and carrier scanned. Dog must be kept in the carrier at all times except for scanning and potty time). You cannot take the dog out of the carrier when flying and the dog remains in the carrier under the seat in front of you at all times during the flight.
I would put 2 puppy pads in the carrier and a small blanket. Do NOT sedate your dog for flying.
This is for domestic flying. If its overseas flying the rules are very different. You will need to contact the airlines for guidelines on taking a pet on board.

I'm not sure I even believe this post.
Let's start by saying that you should be buying a puppy in the country you live in as that is far less stress for the pup to go through. Also if you are talking BA then presumably you are talking about bringing the pup into the UK. NO pup can come in until their passport is complete which means they are 4 to 5 months old before being able to be brought into the UK.
Then there is of course the 'daughter wants a pet' situation. NO dog can or ever is totally raised by a child or even a teen so unless the whole family want a dog and you're prepared for most of the work then forget it.

International flights have different rules to domestic flights.
It depends where you are travelling too and from.
Many countries have strict quarantine rules.
Some countries allow them in the cabin on domestic flights.

My brother and sister in law brought theirs on the plane and it sat in their lap.

Depends on the airline and the size of the dog. Mamy airlines allow very small dogs in carriers to travel under the seat in front of you. Larger dogs can not normally travel in the cabin of an airplane unless they are service dogs assisting a disabled person.

You would have to call the airline you will be flying with. The dog cannot be out of a crate. The crate would have to fit under the seat in front of you or right at your feet. With this virus, & many problems with dogs in cabin, many airline have stopped allowing animals in cabin. You cannot say it is a ESA or a Service Dog, so more than likely it will travel in the baggage compartment. Contact the airlines & they can tell you yes or no & give you all the regulations.

SOME airlines allow a LIMITED number of pets to fly in cabin for DOMESTIC flights.. As long as you meet requirements such as a health certificate and the animal is in a carrier that fits carry-on standards
