Can lying down make you taller?

    No you can't, but I wish it would. If that was the case I would probably be 7ft tall. LOL

    it should  -- we shrink during the day; we are taller in the morning

    While you stand your spine compresses making you slightly shorter, lying down allows it to decompress which will temporarily make you slightly taller.  The variation can be about 2-3cm throughout the day.

    If you look at a person laying down horizontally.  They would  technically be WIDER.

    No. Growing makes you taller. Lying down doesn't affect your height. Hanging upside down MIGHT cause you to measure slightly taller/longer due to your vertebrae not being compressed as they can be when you are standing.
