Two charged metal plates are 0.50 meter apart. A voltmeter shows a difference of potential of 1000 volts between them. What is the electric field strength between the two plates?

The field strength is variable between the two plates, but for our purposes we can approximate it as a constant using the equation ΔV = E*d.
1000 V = E*(0.5 m) => E = 2000 V/m (or N/C, they're equivalent units)
Hope this helps!
