How is UV light used in the medical field?

    They are using it as a disinfectant only if there is no human or animals within an area where the UV is used.

    Intense UV can cause skin burns..

    To reduce the microbial loading of surfaces or equipment and to denature DNA/RNA (moreso for a laboratory setting).
