Do you agree with Andrews that the hotel quarantine program run by private security firms staffed primarily by Indians could not reasonably ?
be foreseen to be an impending disaster ? This program leaked the virus during May and Andrews now claims not to have been aware it was a failure and the overwhelming if not complete cause of the Second Wave. Andrews claim to have made aware at the end of June that every new case could be traced to this program failure. If you put monkeys in charge of security isn't this the inevitable result or does political correctness forbid us from stating the obvious.
Correct Halfwit , standard practice in the industry , subcontracting until you get slummies. Totally foreseeable then.

Some things just have to be done by the government. The private sector cant be trusted not to cut corners for profit.

The government didn’t directly hire the Indian security guards. From what I read, the main contractor subcontracted the hotel quarantine to a company who then subcontracted the security to another firm who then hired unqualified people. I suppose you could say it was the government’s fault for choosing a shoddy contractor in the first place though.
The whole idea of subcontracting is that you give tasks to companies who are highly specialised and should be able to do things more efficiently than you can. Australia is full of cowboys and bullsh1t artists though.
