First put x=0. The limit is 0, Put y=0, and then we get 5/3. The limits are 0 and 5/3.

Assume that (x,y) approaches (0,0) on the line of y = kx.

(2xy - 5x^2)/(3x^2 + 4y^2)

= (2kx^2 - 5x^2)/(3x^2 + 4k^2x^2)

= (2k - 5)/(3 + 4k^2)

If the limit exists then it must approach some fixed value, but it varies as k varies. Therefore, the limit does not exist.
