If you measured the melting range of 122-128, what does this tell  you?

    Additionally, because the range is fairly broad, that suggests that the compound is not pure. Or, you might have heated the sample too rapidly to get a more accurate reading of the melting point.

    122-128 °F means it's getting hot to touch or hold

    122-128 °C means it's above the boiling point of water

    122-128 °K means it's waaay cold.

    So this tells me you need to ensure units are always used to work problems in chemistry. No seriously. Units are extremely important.

    ºC? ºF? K?

    it tells me that the substance melts in that range.
