An arrow of mass 0.018 kg is shot upward at an angle from the ground, reaching a maximum height of 25 m with a speed of 62 m/s. Neglecting air resistance, with what speed will the arrow hit the ground?

Energy is conserved. The energy at the top is equal to the energy when it hits the ground. so 1/2 m * 62^2 + m g * 25 = 1/2 m v^2

divide by m and multiply by 2 62^2 + 2 9.8 * 25 = v^2

v = sqrt( 62^2 + 50 * 9.8) ~ 65.8 m/s

The arrow will hit the ground at the same speed it was shot from the ground.

Use energy to solve

Potential Energy = Kinetic Energy

mgh = 0.5mv²

gh = 0.5v²

v = √(2gh)

v = √(2*10*25)

v = 22.2

Of course, I have no clue what I'm doing
