Jews, do you even realize, that your basic religious texts are strongly influenced by greek world and philosophy? Your bimah is a greek bema?

There is plenty of stories that were originally made up in the midst of philosophers and the Jewish sages borrow them and pass off as the wisdom of Torah.

For instance, the idea that when a child still in a womb he knows all the truth and mysteries of the Univers, but when he born he forgets. Or a story on terrible physiognomical data of Moses, that he was born with evil inclinations, but overcome it.

Even the idea of souls is a platonic idea, you can't found it in the Tanakh. And many other things.

That which is in the bible is presented in many beliefs that predate it also but it seems you find significant in the newest of man's creations.

    Yeah...so what?

  • Yep. You can see the Babylonian influence in exilic texts (astrology, creation, ect) and Zoroastrian influence in post-exilic texts (resurrection, evil Satan, the divine messiah figure (saosyant), ect).

Christians, did you know that when you stop at a red light you are actually obeying Satan.  Red is Satan's color.  And, of course, today is Friyah's day.
