Why do you allow yourself to "fall in love" so readily? Can't you just enjoy spending time with somebody without "falling in love"? The nature of dating, of boyfriend-girlfriend pair ups is that they are temporary, they come to an end in a few weeks, months, or years. Stop pretending to yourself that it's anything more than temporary and you won't be devastated when things reach their natural end.

If you have faith in your family, seek consolation there.  Or if you have other faith, seek it there instead.  This is the time to confide in yourself.  There are good counselors also available through all health plans now.
