Can I use olive oil instead using linseed oil (with my oil paintings) ?

    No.  Linseed oil has been long used for oil paintings because the it will provide a nice, glossy finish, and it slows down drying time.  Olive oil is not as thick, and it is not intended to be a painting medium.  It's best left in the kitchen.
