    They are literally the two most well described and well tested theories in all of science; and don't conflate "theory" with "hypothesis". In science a theory is above a law; it's the scientific equivalent of a mathematical proof.

    They are known as scientific theories.  That means they are organized explanations of observed facts. The word "theory" has several meanings in English. The phrase "scientific theory" does NOT mean a guess or speculation.

    It is the same for "theory of arithmetic". That doesn't mean that 2+2 = 4 is just a guess, and that reasonable people could disagree about it.  It means that arithmetic is an organized explanation of how numbers and addition and multiplication work.

    Theory of evolution: The theory of evolution proposed by Charles Darwin, entails the evolution by natural selection of life on earth. It states that new generations are born with different inheritable traits, and that the traits superior for the survival will be passed on to new generation. This means that given enough time an organism can change and evolve to create a new speices.

    Using the theory of evolution, scientists predicted the ancestors of modern life forms, paleontologists found fossils that backed up the initial predictions.

    It was in 1839 a botanist, schieden and a zoologist, schwann came up with a theory known as cell theory, it is also known as Cell Doctrine. This theory stated that all living things are made of cells and the cell is the basic structural and functional unit of life. This cell theory was further extended by a scientist called Rudolf Virchow by proposing that all living organisms arise from pre existing cells. The main principles of cell theory can be stated as:

    All living organisms are composed of one or more cells but non-cellular life such as viruses are disputed as a life form.

    The cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms.

    Cells arise from pre-existing cells. Cells arise from pre-existing cells by division.

    Energy flow occurs within cells.

    Our metabolism depends on the each and every cell.

    Cells are considered cancerous and thus treated by chemo. In chemotherapy cancerous cells are targeted.

    Cells contain DNA which is found specifically in the chromosome and RNA found in the cell nucleus and cytoplasm.

    Basically the cells are fragmented parts of our system which is made so as to make it easy for a human to understand the specificity of each metabolic pathway or to study on molecular (cellular) parts. This study is done for the development of mankind.

    All cells are basically the same in chemical composition in organisms of similar species.

    Most cells have same composition and they have similar functions. Types of cells Cells can be subdivided into the following subcategories: Prokaryotes: Prokaryotes lack a nucleus (though they do have circular DNA) and other membrane-bound organelles (though they do contain ribosomes). Bacteria and Archaea are two domains of prokaryotes.Eukaryotes: Eukaryotes, on the other hand, have distinct nuclei bound by a nuclear membrane and membrane-bound organelles (mitochondria, chloroplasts, lysosomes, rough and smooth endoplasmic reticulum, vacuoles). In addition, they possess organized chromosomes which store genetic material.
