Advice for a teaching essay for school?

I am majoring in Elementary education and I have a MAJOR essay to write as a semester project, and the topic of that essay is to answer whether teachers should face multiple intelligence inquiries. I'm not sure what an intelligence inquiry is, and I'm not really sure where to start on my essay. I can't just use any source because our teacher requires us to use professional journals and books. I have written a few paragraphs of my essay, but I don't think I'm headed in the right direction. I will ask my teacher precisely what he wants us to discuss, but I don't even know where to start on this project. Any advice? Thank you

Update:

Due to the pandemic, we are not having any in-person classes, and we don't have a textbook.

Your teacher must have discussed at some point the idea of "multiple intelligence inquiry" and you're expected to write on that. You need references from academic journals. I suggest you use Google Scholar to find articles. After doing a quick search for: "multiple intelligence inquiries" +education - I was able to find, among other articles, this one that includes in its introduction a straightforward explanation of what the idea is. Hope this helps.

The multiple intelligence theory came from Howard Gardner, and you can easily google it. It says that students have different ways of learning- some through music, some through words, some through art, and so on. The idea for teachers is to incorporate many ways of dealing with a subject- so using a graphic organizer will help some students, while drawing pictures representing the material will help others, reading about it will help some, and giving physical responses will help others. I have never heard the term "multiple intelligence inquiry" and I have no idea what that means!

My advice is to attend the classes, pay attention, occasionally read a textbook, and utilize your school's library as a resource for academic articles.
