Did Wolf Wolfensberger really say "I don't care if you can get $10.00 a pencil, I hate you forever for allowing a blind man to sell it?

  • I don't know if he said it, but it sounds like him.  It was once the primary way Blind people supported themselves - selling pencils. It was degrading for most of them as they were capable of so much more, but never given the chance. Eventually they graduating to running little newsstands in primarily government buildings, but this was still demeaning.   Then issue was not how much they earned, but the respect they received.
