My computer crashed and I had a local store install a new hard drive.  I had Apache on my old hard drive and now my documents are gibberish?

Update:

Update 2:

Apache is a web-server software. It has nothing to do with your file corruption.

You mentioned your computer crashed. It's most probably due to your hard disk failing. That definitely causes file corruption.

Download: https://www.openoffice.org/download/ and set it as default, and all your Wordpad problems will be solved.
