There are so many coding languages. Which ones are for what purpose? ?

I’m trying to see which coding language would be right for me so I’m wondering which languages are most applicable to what general purposes.

RPG is IBM's"Report Program Generator" which is so old that it somewhat matters which "card column" you use for parts of your program.

In general, you are best off learning Python, after which you will wonder why all the other programming languages are so fussy rather than easy. Eventually you will learn about the fussy parts of Python and why you also need to learn C++, Java, and perhaps half a dozen others.
