Do I do enough around the house?

I earn all the money, cook 5 days out of 7, take the bins out/ clean them, do the food shopping and tend to try and clean up after myself as I go.

My partner does all the hoovering, cleaning, ironing and gardening, and cooks a few time’s a week

Is this fairly balanced?

It is pretty hard to strike an exact balance. If you feel your partner needs to do more then sit down and discuss the problem. It sounds like your partner is willing to do some so maybe they would do more if it made you happier.

You do too much cooking and shopping.  At least go to take out 3 or 4 times per week, and when you do cook, cook enough for several days.  As for shopping, when you go shopping, load up, especially stuff that is cooked and reduces your cooking. Likewise for takeout, order meals for tonight and for tomorrow night.
