Question about raccoon feces ?

So recently raccoons have been pooping on our pool cage, I live in central Florida and I read that raccoon roundworm isn’t common here. The reason I ask is because my parents haven’t cleaned it and have been walking near the site or where the feces are. I keep telling them to take it seriously but they insist there’s no risk unless you physically consume it. Should I be worried about contracting it at all? They plan on cleaning it soon but they’ve already walked around the site without shoes

Don't worry about it, not like you are eating any and worms don't jump.

Just hose of the feces and good to go.

The CDC will let you know of any contagions from raccoons and they are at the top of the list for rabies vector su just be prudent around them.

It can be sterilized by putting liquid bleach on it. The bleach will also reduce the odor, if any.
