A lot of white Australians aren't doing well either.

They are differently-abled.  Not every race is well-suited to modern civilization.  Some are just made for the Stone Age life.  I'm sure you would not do well if expected to live naked in a shelter made of brush and to hunt kangaroos with a spear and a boomerang.

Because they have been discriminated against in much the same way that African Americans and Native Americans have been discriminated against in American society. Discriminated against culturally, educationally and in employment. Australians are pretty racist, more so than Americans.

--  Because White Australians and the governments, in the past, have discriminated against the Australian Aboriginal people. The governments and the Churches have stolen children from their parents and placed the children in group missionary homes and schools then distributed them out to work for white people and force the children to forget their native heritage. Some girls were raped in the missions or by their white employers.

--  Blatant white racism towards the Aboriginals and even genocide. The idea was to "breed the aboriginal out of the children".

--  All have led to most Australian Aboriginal people to have low incomes and be less educated, or have access to good education.

Most mammals have light skin that is covered by fur, and biologists believe that EARLY HUMAN ANCESTORS started out this way also. Dark skin probably evolved after humans lost their body fur, because the naked skin was vulnerable to the strong UV radiation. We all came from pale skinned Africans. Lucy had pale skin under her body hair. So did H.Erectus, Denisovans and Neanderthals. We all came from pale skinned Africans. Australian Aboriginals were created by pale skinned Africans.

Well some of them (blue eyes and blond hair) walked out of Australia and made some white people. That's enough, count your blessings and leave home base alone.
