How do I get these solutions for 103, and 104? And how?

103. Find angle made by the coordinate with origin

θ = arctan (0.707/-0.707)

θ = 315°  or due 45° South-East

Since the carousal started from due North, the counter clockwise angle made will be 315° - 90°  = 225°

As the carousal takes 1 min for 1 revolution or 360°

For 225° , it will take (1min / 360°)225° = 0.625 min or 37.5 s

Since the ride lasts 6 min he child will repeat the coordinates after every 1 min

So the times will be 37.5 s, 97.5 s, 157.5 s, 217.5 s, 277.5 s, 337.5 s

104. We solve similarly, as 103...

θ = arctan (-0.866/-0.5)

θ = 240° or [South 30° West ]

Since the carousal started from due North, the counter clockwise angle made will be 240° - 90° = 150 °

As the carousal takes 1 min for 1 revolution or 360°

For 150° , it will take (1min / 360°)150° = 0.417 min or 25 s
