Reverse cavity ?

How do you reverse a cavity and how long does it take?

I brush my teeth daily but just recently, out of the blue, my dentist told me I have 8 cavities forming but they can be reversed. I assume I may be getting cavities because of my sweets intake lately and how much I’ve been drinking coke and pepsi.

I know that I need to stop drinking soft drink and consuming a lot of sugar. If I stop consuming so much sugar and brush my teeth Twice a day, how long would it take for the cativiry to reverse and my enamel strengtyen?

I agree with anon- but I researched it. If it is a HOLE cavity, it can't be reversed. A surface cavity beginning to destroy enamel apparently CAN be reversed. Look at these and Google more. If you have a question, Google it. If you Google something, question it. (my own slim wisdom)

You cannot "reverse" a cavity. I don't know why the dentist would say such a thing.

The decayed part needs to be removed and the tooth filled to prevent further damage.
