Could we get around any planet with a tank?

Any planet with a surface, anyways.

Not that it would be cheap shipping one to Mars, for example- but once its there, I believe it could be quite useful. Certainly less risky than walking around in a spacesuit.

The new mars lander is very close to a tank.

Well, most tanks use engines that need air. So, as no other planet in our solar system offers air for the engine to work, that's a big nope.

On Venus, any tank would melt in minutes.

where would you get fuel and oxygen to run the engine?  the 1500 HP engine in a modern tank consumes huge amounts of those.  I doubt a tank fitted with oxygen tanks, would have a range of less than a mile.

and how would you get by cliffs and canyons and deep rivers?

and of what use would be the guns and armor?

A tank would not get through canyons and cliffs.
