What is the approximate total displacement based on the graph below? Use 2

significant figures. Approximate the values on each axis to the best of your ability.

    Total displacement D = SUM(d) = sum of the three displacements = d1 + d2 + d3 = 1/2 tV + TV + 1/2 T'V = (1/2*5 + 2 + 1/2*1)*50 = 250 meters.  ANS.

    NOTE:  The d's are the areas of each segment and the two segments with the 1/2 factors are triangle areas.
