For those you were a specialist (E-4) in the army, what should I expect? ?

I’m going into the military as an E-4 Specialist. Is Specialist and Corporal the same thing?

Again, a specialist and corporal are not the same thing.  A corporal is an NCO with leadership responsibilities. The Army is the only service that still has split E-4 ranks.

Specialists make up a large portion of the junior enlisted ranks in the Army.  You will be one of many doing grunt work.

Pay Grade E4 is a Corporal.  Also called a Specialist.

nope, your basiclly gonna be a private 4th class

just because you enter as an e-4, your not gonna be treated as a e-4 who earned the rank and knows what he is doing. Your gonna be treated like a pvt coming out of AIT and are gonna be assigned to the same details as they are.

a corporal is an NCO and is treated as an NCO and yes, a corporal out ranks a specialist-- even if the specialist has date of rank

Nope.  Corporals have leadership responsibilities.  Specialists do not.
