Why did Yahoo post this below after the bombshell article in today's New York Times about Donald Trump's "income taxes"?ย ?

"Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting."

So, Yahoo is doing us a favor by letting us connect anywhere but on Yahoo?

That has been posted below every article and as a banner at the top of the main YA page since July 23rd.ย

Since you are "connecting" on YA now, clearly it's still possible to "connect" on Yahoo. People can also connect via Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Mail. Little "connecting" was being done in the comments beneath Yahoo News articles, so removal of the comments did little to change that. Insults and abuse are not forms of 'connecting' that bring value to any website or forum.ย ย

Yahoo is only allowing mostly anti Trump articles to appear and they don want people correcting the obvious lies that they allow to show.

That statement has been on the YA homepage for over 2 MONTHS and he very likely has been on a ALL of Yahoo's pages longer than that. Verizon Media has disabled commenting across all of Yahoo. Thus is NOT NEW.ย

If you want to let Verizon Media and maybe Yahoo know how you feel, you can email them at

    yahoocommentsfeedback@verizonmedia.com

That statement is at the bottom of EVERY Yahoo news article no Matter What the original source is. Verizon owns a manages Huffington Post.ย

Yahoo got rid of the comment section a few months ago now, and ALL their articles say that.
