Men, why do you hate body positivity movement?
A lot of women suffer from anorexia because they are not satisfied with their body. It is necessary to embrace your body whether you are fat or thin because all bodies are beautiful.
@Bill : Being fat doesn't mean unhealthy. Being skinny due to anorexia is more unhealthier than being fat. Why should only women be criticised for being fat??

Most people just have ingrained attractions and they can't force themselves to change those. That said, most people would never comment on someone else's appearance either for better or worse. So without knowing exactly what you're asking for it's difficult to say. If you're reacting to the tiny minority of loudmouths who comment online then it's kind of up to you to avoid that. We all have to find ways to swerve those few people who love to talk crap to strangers.

Some people are against body positivity because they mistakenly think it is promoting obesity. Body positivity is about embracing the body you have no matter your weight/waist size/gender/race/age etc etc and loving the body you're in and not giving into the demands society places upon how you as an individual (whether male or female or whatever you identify as) should look or weigh.

Excessive bodily fat is always unhealthy. That is why it is excessive. A fat person might not be so unhealthy as to be in immediate danger of dying, but he is, nevertheless, less healthy than he would be without the excess fat.
The common perception that excessive bodily fat is UGLY is an evolved emotional trigger response that was prompted into existence by the fact that it is unhealthy. If fatness made fat people healthier, then it would trigger sexual lust. But it doesn't. It triggers revulsion and disgust, instead.
And you Marxist morons can propagandize for a thousand years on the "beauty" of fat without changing anybody's feelings on the subject. You really should understand the difference between things you can change, and things you can't change.

Why do I hate it? So I as a man MUST provide an answer as to WHY I automatically hate it even though I don’t care what you fatties get up to or how many groups you start?
To answer the question, it’s not healthy but not detrimental.

I suspect it's due to ignorance. 1 Poster here seems to think that 'Anorexia' is rare, but eating disorders in both young women and young men is on the rise. Perhaps due to the 'Selfie' era or the pressure to seem or look 'perfect' on Social Media.
Apparently it's always healthier to be slightly over weight as opposed to being underweight. In the case of puberty, the menstrual cycle is affected by weight loss and periods could stop, if she has a weight lower than 6 1/2 stone, as has happened to many female gymnasts and ballerinas and Models.
Everyone should embrace their natural body shape and try to maintain a healthy weight, be exercising and eating a relatively 'healthy' diet. It may help to know that people that seek 'perfection' are suffering from depression.

Very few women actually suffer from anorexia. Poor nutrition, and weight loss drug abuse, but anorexia? No. What these "curvy" women call anorexic is actually a very healthy weight. Fat is fatal. Obesity is an epidemic. A "few pounds over" is just the early stages of morbid obesity. To accept fat is analogous to accepting syphilis. Both are unsightly and fatal if untreated. We know the cause and how to treat both of them.

Because it's dumb as hell. Any movement that promotes unhealthy lifestyles or claims that being unhealthy is a good thing is dumb as hell.

The male equivalent of body positivity would be something like impoverished positivity. We could then state that A lot of men suffer from high blood pressure because they are not satisfied with their income. And it is necessary to embrace your financial status whether you are poor or rich because all financial conditions are okay.

The body positivity movement, while well-intentioned, sets unrealistic expectations for human interaction.
If you have developed health problems because of lifestyle choices, and your body reflects that, people will generally be less interested in you.
It’s wrong to insult people for their body, to be clear.
