Not quite a whole gallon, if you want to be sure of not spilling any milk.

And is that the US gallon, or the British gallon?  British gallons are one fifth (20%) larger than US gallons.

I just bought a gallon of milk and I can say you can't add any milk to it; it just comes spilling out the top.

1 gallon of any liquid (water/ milk/ petrol etc.) contains 8(eight ) pints.

1 pint contains 4 gills (casually a glass of milk to drink)

So 8 x 4 = 32

there are 32 gills in 1 gallon. .

You never said if you were talking American, or Imperial gallons.  They are both different sizes.
