I assume you mean by the Japanese in WW2, as the Philippines has been conquered by the Spanish and the Americans.  The Japanese treated the American forces badly as they did with any captured allies.  The Filipinos were treated worse and in the battle for Manila all Japanese forces were ordered to move to the mountains as the commander knew they had no chance in Manila.  One general refused to run for the hills and stayed with 10,000 Japanese troops but made many women and children stand in front of them as human shields.  Once the battle was over the Japanese shot many women and children survivors.
