    mass of one mole of the compound:

    12x + y = 30.069

    x/6.66 = y/19.8

    ∴ y = 2.97297x

    12x + y = 30.069

    12x + 2.97297x = 30.069

    14.97297x = 30.069

    x = 30.069 / 14.97297

    ∴ x = 2.0

    y = 2.97297x

    y = 2.97297( 30.069 / 14.97297 )

    ∴ y = 6.0
