So conservatives love the constitution but hate the separation of church and state?

    There is no “separation of church and state” in the constitution.

    I’m a conservative and believe wholeheartedly in separating church and state. I also happen to think that a world in which the church held no sway would be a better world indeed.

    Quit getting your information from Saturday night live. The phrase "separation of church and state" appears nowhere in the Constitution if you find it feel free to paste it here.  No church makes any law, religion has effect on culture and culture has effect on law like every other country.

    Just because we have separation of church and state doesn't mean we can't talk about Jesus on the public square.

    Some do, some don't.  Not all conservatives are alike, just like all liberals are not alike.

    Standing against things like crime are NOT theocratic. 

    They do NOT empower the church with govt authorities.
