What to think here?

If a casual friend you sends you a reply to your “how are you” text saying “really want to see my family and friends when covid settles” but does not mention you..

 do they even see you as a friend? Would you feel hurt?

Surely if they wanted to see you they’d say they miss you, or that they hoped to see you soon?

You're almost certainly included in the "friends" part of "family and friends". For you to need a name shout out when this person is texting directly to you probably means you're looking for something to be upset about.

They said they wanted to see friends.  You're a friend.  You're included.

Wow!  You're really touchy and far too sensitive!
