Why isn’t insulting or mistreating somebody because of political beliefs a hate crime.?
An example would be criticizing Trump Supporters. You wouldn’t criticize NAACP supporters

Sigh... Let me explain again.
Hate crimes exist only when the hate is projected at a member of a legally protected group. Trump supporters are not such a group.

Because politics is a war! It is a mutual combatant situation it is a situation where you agree beforehand that you're going into battle against an opponent. And in today's society mutual combatants can sign a piece of paper that says that they agree to do battle and wave damage to each other during the battle. that is exactly and precisely what you are doing when you sign a voter's registration card. You are agreeing to do battle

Criticizing a black person for being black is Hate. Criticizing a white person for being racist again black people is not Hate. Do you see the difference?

Because criticizing a person's political beliefs is protected by the First Amendment and there is no Snowflake Exception for idiot Trump supporters.
