NY Unemployment: If I made over $504 in a week and don't qualify for unemployment benefits that week, is a week of UI aid deducted or not?

Is a week of the total weeks deducted. For example if you have 35 weeks left, and you don't qualify for the current week because you made too much, do does it go down to 34 or does it not count because you didn't get it that week?

No, it doesn't count against the limit on how money dollars you can get in a benefit year.  You can still get the money later in the benefit year -- you don't "lose" it unless this happens in enough weeks for the benefit year to end before you qualify for the money.

Unemployment is not based on "weeks".  It's based on claim balance.

If you don't receive any unemployment payout for a week, your claim balance will not decrease.

Usually unemployment claims are valid for 1 year and if you don't earn any money while having an open claim, you will have 6 months of payments.  Some states have extended the unemployment claim period during covid, so it may be longer than 1 year.

If you don't qualify during a week you should not get the benefit, if by accident you do collect it. The government can demand you pay it back (with penalties) or be charged with larceny, (fraud)
