An English question: What does "radio hour" refer to?

A radio channel, a radio program, or a radio station?

It goes back to when people never had a tv, and usually, after supper, there would be an hour or so when people would gather around the radio, to listen to the news and popular radio programs before they went to bed. A very popular radio program was 'The Lone Ranger'. My dad used to tell me about he and his brothers and sister sitting around the radio listening to that, as well as the whole family listening to the news and the nightly updates on the war. (ww2)

I refers to one hour of radio programming.  This means the particular radio program lasts one hour.
