gift certificate to Golf Galaxy.  A dozen PROV1 balls (or PROV1x, depending on what they play).  Funny headcovers for the driver.  Golf shirts or pants made by Nike.  Or what I would want, a Caddyshack golf shirt.

No clubs, that is a personal preference thing.
