How should I decorate my bedroom?

I currently share a bedroom with my sister. But within about 6 months I will move to our spare bedroom. I want to know what to paint it and how should I decorate it. I have a picture below of my bedspread

P.S I am going for a chic farmhouse theme.

Umm...you should change the bedspread to black or brown or white. And next, change the light to brown or beige.

I have image to chic room that is monotone, so main color is black or white, and add brown to an accent I think you should do that.
